You are more likely to encounter horse trails and wandering peacocks than sidewalks in Southwest Ranches. Many residents favor Southwest Ranches for the large lots and sense of privacy that is only available from the out sized home sites. The home sites range from one to two and a half acres. The town consists of residential home sites, family farms and equestrian ranches. The real estate in Southwest Ranches is some of the most expensive around, not only in South Florida, but nationwide as well. That being said, Southwest Ranches is a special community that many homeowners with families appreciate.
